For the first poll of its kind in our annual Review of Free Expression in Canada, CJFE partnered with Nanos Research to survey Canadians about their thoughts on three of the most significant freedom of expression issues of the past year. We asked 1000 people for their feelings on access to information practices, government openness and digital surveillance.
The results highlight the issues Canadians care about most when it comes to free expression, while revealing their surprising indifference in some major areas of concern.
